New Home for Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo

Colin the Tree Kangaroo

Colin, our Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo has a brand new home! This enclosure is much more stimulating than his previous one. There are natural vines and trees for him to make his way through and platforms for feeding and sleeping on a various levels.

Although Colin is in his own enclosure, he is still part of the breeding population at Wildlife Habitat, and often enjoys the company of a female. He is settling in well and has been clambering through the vines and had explored nearly every inch of the new enclosure.

Tree-kangaroos are notoriously difficult to see in the wild, with this enclosure you can get close views of this amazing species.

Wildlife Habitat is proud to participate in the Lumholtz’s Tree-kangaroo population management program, which is authorised by the Zoo and Aquarium Association to educate visitors, create conservation awareness, and directly contribute to a sustainable population of the species.
