Wildlife Habitat is now open! During this time, the safety of our guests, team and the public is our priority. Social distancing guidelines will be strictly enforced at all our attractions.
You can pre-book online here. Walk-ins are welcome and CaPTA Group Annual Pass Holders do not need to make a reservation prior to their visit. Due to COVID-19 restrictions all tours and presentations will be altered. See new tour times here.
We are so excited to welcome all our CaPTA Group Annual Pass members and all other locals back into our attractions. Our whole team (including the wildlife) are looking forward to returning to the new “normal”.

Australian Wildlife Experience- #1 Port Douglas Attraction
There’s nothing quite like the Wildlife Habitat Experience. Fancy hand-feeding iconic Australian Wallabies and Kangaroos or catching a glimpse of the legendary Southern Cassowary or Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo? How about watching a crocodile feeding presentation or having your photo taken with a Koala? All of these experiences and more are waiting for you at our Port Douglas attraction.
This award winning and advanced eco certified wildlife sanctuary allows guests to interact with Australian animals in their recreated natural environments. Explore five spacious unique environments, Wetlands, Rainforest, Savannah, Nocturnal and Woodlands, and meet with the species that call these animals home.
Our Motto: observation, appreciation and conservation.
Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas offers an Australian wildlife experience with a difference. We are dedicated to the conservation of native wildlife and believe that this is best achieved through observation and appreciation. Our Port Douglas attraction is home to an on-site care centre for the Tropical Animal Rehabilitation Centre, which cares for injured, sick, orphaned and displaced native wildlife.
