Join our dedicated team of wildlife keepers and make a genuine contribution to the conservation and care of our captive native Australian wildlife, and make the experience for our guests extra special!
Port Douglas is located 50 minutes north of Cairns and is flanked by the iconic Great Barrier Reef and World Heritage Daintree Rainforest.
The program includes accommodation in mixed shared dorms, transport from Cairns, two meals per day on work days, orientation, uniform and certificate and participation.
The program is extremely popular and is often booked months in advance, so we do recommend you plan ahead if you wish to participate!
International Volunteer Program
The International Volunteer Program in Port Douglas, Tropical North Queensland is open to applicants 18 years and over, with no maximum age limit. Applicants must be physically fit and in good health. The program operates on a fortnightly basis with start dates every second Tuesday (subject to availability). Work alongside conservationists and make a meaningful contribution to the region's unique flora and fauna.
